In her Daddy's Image

I had to post this for my hubby who feels a little forlorn when people keep saying the girls look completely like me. Lilly came up to me yesterday and said "Look mom - I can do it like dad!" So I haven't asked him yet - but I guess when he was "babysitting" the other day they were having "fun" with pretzels. She is like a mini me of her daddy!

Please note I do NOT promote or approve of the use of pretzels in this picture!

Ella's Special Note

Ella's Children Church teacher Miss Liz had back surgery last Monday. We have been praying for her and were able to take her a meal on Saturday. Ella wanted to make her a card and wanted to do it HERSELF. This is how it turned out - almost made me cry - my baby is growing up!!

Hallelujah Night

This was the first year for Hallelujah night at the church. I had SO much help and really appreciate everyone pitching in!!

We had 11 games and then a snack and craft.

We have a VERY talented artist at the church - she was such an angel in making this last minute!

We gathered the children together first and did the pumpkin parable! I became very creative trying to go along with our theme and made a "theme" song to the tune of Old McDonald Had A Farm.

Let the light of Jesus shine
Each and every day
Let the light of Jesus shine
Each and every day
Tell the truth, do what's right
Follow God with ALL your might
Let the light of Jesus shine
Each and every day

We played Pumpkin says until all the kids arrived

Yes, that is a real wooden sling shot - but we used nerf balls
Disclaimer - NO ONE WAS HURT IN THE MAKING OF THIS POST
Miss Molly Ellis trying it out - she has a GREAT shot!

Moses in the Bullrushes game - the kids had to blow with a straw to get Moses down the river to the princess.

My wonderful husband handcrafted this game - PVC pipe and all!

Hoops for Jesus

David & Goliath

Daniel & the Lions Den - don't know if you can see my artistry - I drew lions on the bowling pins (I am definitely NOT an artist)

Jonah & the Whale - the kids had to throw JONAH into the whales mouth.

Keep me Jesus as the Apple of Thine Eye - bobbing for apples.
Miss Mikayla checking it out!
